The Hunger Games will likely be one of the movie series that defines this generation. It will be talked about for months and referenced for years. In lieu of this, we here at Sherman Ave feel it is of the utmost importance that everyone goes to see it. If, however, the threat of isolation from all of your closest friends and loved ones isn’t enough to convince you, we have 11 more reasons why you should see Catching Fire:

1. Jennifer Lawrence

An actress reaching the peak of her career and continuously improving her already-impressive craft, Jennifer Lawrence’s performance in Catching Fire has already wowed critics and fans alike, and is something you should not miss – even if you’re not a huge fan of the series.

2. Jennifer Lawrence on Fire

The production design and special effects team for Catching Fire really went the extra mile in adding more flare to the flaming outfit from the first film. The outfit is sure to add a spark to the appeal of the already hot Lawrence.

3. Jennifer Lawrence Fighting

Breaking from her hesitance in the first film, Katniss Everdeen — played by Jennifer Lawrence — truly comes into fighting form in Catching Fire. Her newfound aggression and skill are a welcome change from her timidness in the original Hunger Games.

4. Some Shit about Revolution or Something

Yeah there’s some stuff about like some sort of uprising or whatever that I guess will be interesting.

5. Jennifer Lawrence in Water

The latest installment of The Hunger Games isn’t all fire and fighting. Catching Fire also splashes onto the scene with some fun water sequences featuring the one and only JLaw. Fans won’t want to miss seeing if Lawrence’s swimming chops match up to what she’s able to do on-screen and on the battlefield.

6. Jennifer Lawrence in Romantic Situations

While The Hunger Games is certainly action-packed, there is a bit of romance involved too. Budding starlet Jennifer Lawrence displays her ability to develop and portray nuanced romantic relationships in Catching Fire and is sure to impress moviegoers like she did with her Oscar-winning performance in Silver Linings Playbook.

7. The Director is Different

Yeah, they found a different guy to direct this one. He’s supposed to pretty good. That’s maybe a reason to see it, if you’re into that.

8. Jennifer Lawrence With Sleeves

Jennifer Lawrence, though often an object of allure an affection, shows her conservative side in Catching Fire with some sleeved outfits that really allow her to show the power of her acting skills without showing skin, a tremendous feat compared to some of Hollywood’s more scantily-clad celebrities.

9. Jennifer Lawrence Without Sleeves

Some actors can just do it all! Jennifer Lawrence certainly shows that she falls into that category with her ability to seamlessly transition from sleeved to sleeveless outfits without missing a beat.

10. Jennifer Lawrence with Hair in Her Face

Many actors face adversity in roles, but not being able to see? That’s a whole other ballgame. However, that’s exactly what actress-extraordinaire confronts in her brilliant Hunger Games performance. Even with obscured vision, Lawrence is able to deliver her lines perfectly and give the performance of a lifetime.

11. Jennifer Lawrence Existing in Human Form

All other parts of the movie aside, the most amazing thing about Catching Fire is Jennifer Lawrence’s ability to physically represent herself in the form of matter with the biological composition of a human. It is here, with the visual display of the existence of Jennifer Lawrence, that Catching Fire and the entire Hunger Games series really thrives.

There you have it. With so many varied reasons to see Catching Fire, you’re going to want to get yourself a ticket as soon as possible.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire starring the immaculate, Oscar-winning Jennifer Lawrence premieres this Friday, November 22nd.
